The basis of lease extension

The leaseholder is a person who has been given the right to occupy a property for certain period of time which is usually within 50-100 years. It becomes a problem only after your lease starts expiring and so you have to start thinking about what is to be done with it. Once the land lease expires, the value for the land becomes meager and then you hardly get anything in your hand.

The best thing you can do after acquiring the right to purchase the lease extension, you will be easily able to find a market value of your flat at a better price. You will thus make it highly saleable during the long lease period as even the land owners are not ready to lend for a shorter lease. After your terms have met to what are called as the conditions for the extension you can get lease for around 90 years.
